About The Event


This event invites participants to reimagine old T-shirts into compelling ocean-themed fashion pieces that advocate for marine conservation. Led by award-winning designer Ruwanthi Gajadeera, this hands-on workshop emphasizes the importance of sustainability in fashion, showcasing how creativity can serve as a catalyst for environmental responsibility.


Participants are encouraged to bring their old T-shirts and explore innovative techniques such as fabric painting and stamping, all centered around marine conservation themes like “Save the Whales” and “Protect Coral Reefs.” This engaging experience not only fosters artistic expression but also educates attendees on the pressing issues facing our oceans, such as plastic pollution and textile waste.
